Friendly owners with excellant food and quiet location. Under new management and still working on decorations but comfortable and homely. Very near to Eden project and good base for touring Cornwall.

-The rooms were very clean and comfortable and looked freshly decorated. -The food was excellent quality. -The location was great for visiting nearby attractions. -Warm welcome and excellent service from the staff.

-Downstairs area and restaurant could have been a little warmer.

      Excellent restaurant, and friendly staff.

The bedroom was fine, but the bathroom cramped and poorly designed.

The welcome and the food was good. The situation was amazing , one could hear water flowing past as is a former mill. Very nicely decorated, very comfortable chairs.

My husband is asthmatic and they had some of these awful so called airfreshners plugged in to communal areas I had to unplug , unnecessary and not good for people with asthma. Marvellous fresh air, why bother? Also it was very cold at night , no extra blankets provided and heating turned off. Shower hard to use.

Good Breakfast and pleasant bar/breakfast room set in a good location.

Room was small with only one bedside table and no chair to put clothes on.. Ensuite was tiny. The bar was locked when we returned at 10pm.

      Nothing.

Nice little guest house, quiet location, rooms were well mantained, clean and comfortable. Staff were friendly and helpful. The breakfast was fantastic and the meals looked great although we didn't eat there as we were going somewhere. Location is off the main roads but easy to get too. Would stay there again.

      nothing

Attention to decorative detail in all areas combined with a sensitive conversion of old industrial buildings.

everything was absolutely fine - nothing to dislike

Excellent restaurant - food quality, menu selection, ambience Location - idyllic, romantic , remote yet within 10 mins walk of St Austell

Room a bit small & basic

The room was beautifully decorated and very comfortable. We had breakfast included which was delicious, there was something for everyone. We also ate in the restaurant in the evening and we were equally impressed with the standard of food. Would recommend to friends and family and we would definitely come again!

Owners and staff very friendly, Plenty of food at breakfast and restaurant in the evening excellent.

warm, friendly welcome. superb food: we really enjoyed our evening in the very smart restaurant and the delicious cooked breakfasts kept us going all day! beds and bedlinen of a very high standard and able to sleep really well. wonderful setting, very close to lots of attractions.

the owners have been there about 18months and are in the process of transforming the business. bedrooms could do with a few more finishing touches, eg bedside lights, a mirror in the bedroom, not just the ensuite. my daughters were in the twin room but felt uncomfortable with another (external?) door leading from the ensuite, perhaps this will be changed as part of the refurbishment.

Once inside was warm and welcoming. Excellent value for money

Hard to spot on a wet (as most of this summer has been) looking dark and slightly foreboding . This belied the warm and welcoming interior.

    • Older travelers

It was tastefully converted and furnished and convenient for visiting The Eden Project.

The lounge Area seemed to only be accessible when the Restaurant was open. We would have liked a hairdryer in the room. Although one was available it was not accessible when needed. Approaching from the North, an earlier signpost would have been helpful.
